In high current charging systems, which require temperature monitoring of the charging process along with active cooling and cooling, the CCS connector can provide up to 500KW of charging power. In the event of an unexpected rise in ambient temperature or even an overload, temperature monitoring achieves a limit of connector contact temperature rise below +50°C by increasing the cooling rate of the charging system or by reducing the charging rate.
CCS connectors are divided into American Standard CCS1 connectors and European Standard CCS2 connectors depending on the charging plug. Among them, the type 1 connector uses a locking structure with a manual clamping mechanism; the type 2 connector locking structure is achieved by an electromagnetically activated metal anchor, and its charging status is transmitted to the charging device through a separate connection.

1, IP protection level: expressed by IPXX, XX is generally expressed in numbers, the first number represents the level of protection against solids, the second number represents the level of waterproofing, the larger the number, the higher the level of protection. For the connector, these levels are divided into when inserted, pulled out without cover and pulled out with cover. Some uncovered plug protection level is IP20, meaning that it is touch-proof, but also resistant to dust or objects with a size of more than 12mm, but it does not have a liquid protection function, once in contact with liquid susceptible to damage. IP54, IP55 and IP65 levels are common when CCS connectors are covered or plugged in.
2, the operating temperature range: generally speaking the specifications are not standard, its ambient temperature range is -40 ℃ to 60 ℃. But this is not uniform, some connectors have a wider temperature range, up to 125 ℃ or even 175 ℃.
3, the connector is often affected by vibration or shock factors, resulting in interruption of the connection, in order to avoid and reduce this phenomenon, the connector must have good resistance to vibration and shock performance.
4, there are certain requirements for plugging life. The general life of the connector may be 300-500 times, but the need for frequent plugging and unplugging of the connector plug life requirements are higher, usually its durability needs to meet the standard requirements for plugging and unplugging cycle.
